My name is Robert Whistler and I create Traditional Oil Paintings with a non-traditional slow dry medium, this allows me to work wet on wet though most if not all of the painting. This process extends the freshness of my palette, as well as the working time that most mediums wouldn't allow. My motivation is simply an intense interest in the process and exploration of painting and the reaction of my audience. I think the best reaction the viewer can give is simply one word "Wow" and a smile. If I can get that reaction, then I did my job. But the job is not yet over,
I always feel that the next painting will be my best.
